The Otunba is an accomplished industrialist who runs a mini conglomerate under the name DEMUS MAYOR NIG. LTD.  He graduated in Chemistry in 1968 from the University of Ibadan and has since then been in both public and private business.  He was Brewery Manager with the Nigerian Breweries Plc, a one-time Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Salt Co. Ltd., Ota, Ogun State and holds the Chieftaincy title of The Bajulaiye of Ijebuland.  He was the pioneer Chairman of Devcom Merchant Bank [now merged with ETB Bank].  He is known for his philanthropy for human and infrastructural development.
